TREATY OF WAITANGI CLAIM - Signing the Terms of Negotiation
The Terms of Negotiation will be signed on 17 March
The Terms of Negotiation will be signed by both TAIA and the Crown on 17 March 2010.
This date was identified because it comemorates the start of the Land Wars 150 years ago.
The Prime Minister, John Key, will sign the Terms on behalf of the Crown and the TAIA Chair will sign on behalf of TAIA. Other signatories will be Ministers of the Crown and TAIA Delegates. Te Atiawa members will also be invited to sign as supporters to the document.
The ceremony has been arranged and organised by the Puketapu Delegate, Grant Knuckey.
